It's Thanksgiving Day- Everyday!

Every day is a blessing, and we should always have a thankful and grateful attitude. The gift of life is a precious thing for which to give thanks each day and so are basic needs as well as sound mind and good health. While most people are grateful for these and more blessings, we receive daily, no day fills the heart with more gratitude than Thanksgiving Day.

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated every fourth Thursday of November it’s a fun holiday that most families enjoy. These celebrations date back to 1621 when the colonial pilgrims had a feast with Native Americans to celebrate the harvest and coming together in peace. Today, Thanksgiving is a special day for families to come together, enjoy a meal, and express gratitude for many blessings.

Which brings up the question - is Thanksgiving the only time in the year when you and your family express gratitude? The truth is; giving thanks is something we should do every day and not just once a year. We have a lot of things to be grateful for, and it is essential that we maintain a grateful attitude always.

Reasons you should give thanks every day

Lots of people have a hard time saying thank you for great things in their lives. Instead, they focus on what is going wrong or might go wrong which keeps them in a state of constant anxiety. A better option might be to maintain an attitude of gratitude no matter what goes wrong in our lives. There are several benefits to being thankful every day.

  • When we give thanks for the gift of life and other blessings in our lives, we open the door for more amazing things to happen. No matter how bad things get, there is always something to be thankful for in your life. Focus on it and express gratitude for it, and you will notice more positive things flowing into your life.

  • Also, when you make a habit of giving thanks every day, you will feel a decrease in your stress level. Try it! Anytime you feel overwhelmed, think about something good in your life and express gratitude for it. You will feel an improvement in your attitude because it’s impossible to stay grumpy when giving thanks.

  • Best of all, giving thanks every day is a great way to curb aging and improve your health. You may not know it, but a bad attitude, complaining and grumpiness ages you terribly. When you adopt a habit of being thankful, you always focus on the positive, which gives you a better outlook on life while strengthening your health and keeping those wrinkles at bay.

This Thanksgiving dinner, as you sit down with your loved ones for a great meal, it’s time to start a new tradition. The tradition of giving thanks every day for the gift of life and other blessings that come your way. Teach your loved ones that every day is a blessing and should be treated as such.  We should give thanks each day and not just on Thanksgiving. It is a fairly simple thing to do that will give you unlimited benefits.
