How to Take Care of your Skin during Summer Season

Sun’s out, Skin is in! Summer is just around the corner. Embrace the sunny vibes, take in that Vitamin D, get sun kissed and show off those tan lines. But every year, summer heat means more sweat and more oil and it takes a toll on your skin. The scorching heat, humid air, pollution and extensive UV rays wipes off the natural glow of your skin. To avoid all these things that make your skin suffer, here are some easy tips to make your skin glowing and fresh under the sun!

 Ready for a radiant skin that glows like the sun? Here are some ideas to keep your outer covering ready for some hot summer adventure:

 1. Exfoliate your body

The basic skin care routine that you must apply is exfoliating your skin. Your body sheds off skin cells at an amazing rate every minute. If you don’t get rid of them, they’ll just settle in your skin thus making it look dry and dull. Your skin will thank you a lot if you wash your face daily after exposing it to hazards all day. Moisturize your skin with products that are good for it. You may grab a body scrub and gently rub the exfoliator to your entire body from your shoulders down to your feet in circular movements (use face exfoliator for your face and neck) and rinse clean. Continue to this 2-3 times a week for your year round beautiful skin. Anything is popsicle when you exfoliate!

 2. Wear sunscreen

Exchange your last year’s bottle to a new one! Buy a new sun screen that has at least SPF 30 during your day-to-day activities and an SPF 50 for any outdoor activities. You should be using a shot glass full for your body and a full teaspoon on your face for sure protection when having fun under the sun. Reapply your sunscreen 1-2 hours if you’re under the sun to ensure a safe summer fun. Your skin will thank you for keeping it protected from the harmful UV rays. Indeed, girls just wanna have sun!

 3. Make water and other healthy liquids your best friend

Under the sizzling heat of the sun, we must drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to keep us hydrated. If possible, carry a bottle with you wherever you go and remember to drink every 30 min. or so. Water helps to regulate our body temperature and it helps with digestion, boosts weight loss, helps with digestion, moisturizes skin detoxifies and washes out a lot of toxins. Especially if you want to bask in the sunlight and enjoy physical activities this summer season, it is essential to drink fluids every day. Skin is a beautiful thing - wear it well!

 4. Eat your way to a magnificent skin

Aside from taking good care of your skin on the outside, it is also important to keep it healthy on the inside. Consume fruits or vegetables and eat healthy food that are rich in Vitamin C because it is needed to produce collagen that strengthens the capillaries that supply the skin.  The best sources are blackcurrants, blueberriesbroccoli, guava, kiwi fruits, oranges, papaya, strawberries and sweet potatoes. It is also a super antioxidant that is needed to support the immune system, promote radiant skin and help blemishes heal properly.  5. Exercise is the key to a younger looking skin

Working in fitness classes, a jog, or even a weight training session that lasts for about 30 minutes a day could get you on the right track. Physical exercise is important to keep those wrinkles at bay and skin to look awesome every day!
